The Bishop’s Table

Open daily and located in the heart of the visitor area lies a brand new café with a view like no other in Wells. With free access to everyone, all you need to do is cross the drawbridge and you'll see The Bishop's Table nestled under the trees overlooking the croquet lawn and Palace buildings.

Serving delicious locally-sourced homemade food and some of the best coffee and cake you will find in Wells, it is the perfect place to meet friends for brunch, lunch or afternoon tea.

The Undercroft restaurant has now closed for refurbishment, opening again at the end of April to visitors and available to hire for events, wedding receptions and parties. If you are interested in hiring this beautiful vaulted Undercroft please contact Helen Garrett on 01749 988111 ext 209.

The Bishop's Table is managed by Harbour & Jones, a leading in-house and venue caterer, who are committed to working with local suppliers, sourcing seasonal British produce and offering delicious, uncomplicated food.
