Family Activity: Minibeasts

Our family activity this week will focus on Minibeasts that you might find in our gardens! Take part in craft activities such as grass caterpillars to grow and bug hotels for the garden at home, there will also be a rock bug painting activity, particularly good for little ones. Included with admission. 11am-3pm

Family Activity: Springtime

This week we’ll be thinking about the changes that take place in Spring and how the changing seasons affect the living things in the garden. Craft activities will include making daffodil bunting, wooden peg butterflies and caterpillars, and herb and lavender bags. Included with admission. 11am-3pm

Watercolour and Drawing Workshop

We have five dates available for people to book in for a 2.5 hour workshop led by our artist in residence, William Balthazar Rose. Workshops will take place in the beautiful gardens of The Bishop’s Palace where William will give professional tuition and guidance in watercolour and drawing landscapes from nature. Places are £12 (£5 for members of The Bishop’s Palace) and you can book at The Palace shop, online(?) or by calling our office on 01749 988111.

Members Only! Bring a Friend Friday

We would like to offer Members the opportunity to bring a friend to visit The Bishop’s Palace on Friday 24 April – free of charge! The Palace and Gardens will be open from 10am until 6pm and Members are invited to bring along one friend per current membership. All you need to do on arrival is show your Membership card and then share this wonderful place with your friend. This is limited to just one friend per membership, but we do hope that you will enjoy this opportunity to share this special place... and of course pop into the shop and cafe during your visit!

Community Garden Masterclass - Pest and disease control without chemicals

In the second of our Community Garden Master Classes, come along and learn how to control pests and diseases in your garden without using chemicals. Prior to the workshop, you will be asked for your top 5 garden problems so that the workshop can be tailored around what concerns you most. Our Master Classes guarantee that there will be no more than 8 participants, meaning that you will get the chance to ask as many questions as you like, and that the workshop can be tailored around what the group want to know. Tickets are £15 and are strictly limited. 10am-1pm.
